Study for class
Is there a location one could look to study up on the material related to the first few weeks of class? I understand there is no point in studying for a specific aircraft...I am more interested to find info relating to the rest of the information we will be presented with. Standing by for ridicule.

The Ops Manual and the WOM will be covered in class. You will be exposed to company policy, lots of HR mumbo jumbo, and the standard part 121 run through.
We can't post the Ops manual because of some of the sensitive security info in there. but, the class is good enough to give you working knowledge of the relevant parts.
The indoc class is meant to cover the stuff you need to know, and to teach you how to find the answers for the other stuff. No stress.

There is nothing you need to study before class you have 2 weeks of FOM mind numbing legal mumbo jumbo crammed down your throat while your eyes are glossed over and your drooling.
You will learn the most important parts of the FOM in class, the rest you will learn on-line as questions arise and you see the operation in action.
As far as rest its 117 unless the contract is more restrictive.

FYI:
I didn't learn this until Re-Indoc was almost over. (I was a mil-leave returnee).
You get one free giganto Starbucks a day from the Doubletree.
On your way out each morning, stop by the hotel restaurant, tell them what size you want, you fill it yourself, and put your name and file number on the clipboard.
I was buying it in the TK cafeteria. OK, but not strong enough for me.

I appreciate everyone humoring me. I will take the coffee discussion to heart! Looking forward to joining the team.
One other question...when I interviewed they said expect a December class. When I received the call...I was told expect a January class. Any thoughts on the possibility of the class moving back to December...or is the estimation pretty accurate?

That water bottle they give you at checkin....use it a lot and and keep it filled!
Free coffee from doubletree is awesome!
They walk you through everything, first couple weeks is relaxed, then buckle down after that for your aircraft specific and follow the training plan.
