Agreed.

Unfortunately there is nothing in the UPA that gives the union final say on staffing.

Instead, it will be a repeat of "this is a really bad idea that you should reconsider" followed 18 months later with "we told you so" when the plan goes FUBAR. If in doubt, just go back and read any SSC report from the last 5 years. Our SSC has a great track record of knowing what needs to be done and the company has a history of ignoring the advice and the. asking for help later.

So, you pay your cover charge (dues) to get into the bar and expect your 'score' for the night to be delivered to you....

You don't pay the union to do your job....

The SCC guys are volunteers and even if they are getting trip loss... why them and not you? Like you they can 'fly trip and go home' but they volunteer to make it better.... for you. (as a side note, consider you won't get displaced... you're just a sucka for managements fear campaign.... )

Funny, your the dude at TGIF calling out the girl..... Time to man up? Or are you going to insist on the union being exactly what management wants you to think?

The SSC has actually been fighting these displacements for at least two years if their reports are to be believed.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good conspiracy.

To bad they didn't catch on to who the "real" Snarge is during the interview. Snarge, proudly becoming the new generation of the one percent.

I worded that poorly. Was responding to Snarge but referring to the Dragon dude.

Talking

Two things just demonstrated:

1. When the post doesn't somehow involve the SLI, the response intelligence dwindles. Even more.

2. The phenomenon of internet hubris.

PM me for details.

I really liked the "shut up and throw gear.....newbie" part. I think i will make it part of my preflight brief. It will come right before "Any dumb questions?"
