Could be Shrek, could be.

Lets, for arguments sake, say I'm right and to go one step further lets say that Pro-Stands and Membership even agree with me. Perhaps some of a certain carriers Pilots are not playing so nicely in the sandbox and its been a real problem as of late?

Nah, way more fun to shoot the messenger and keep on defending the indefensible.

Point of the whole post is that the Hogan shouldn't be the defining qualification for getting employed here.

I used Gmail for the whole process last year, and nothing ever went to any spam, junk, trash anything. So you will be good to go!

As I've pointed out earlier they all came from the same commuter airline and were all check airman so perhaps I'm just unlucky.
I think branding one regional might be a stretch. It could bite you when your pre conceived notion presents itself on the first leg with a new pilot.

We have been hiring so much. While the pilots are great, it's not like flying with someone who has enjoyed the same career experiences over the last two or three decades. Patience, explanation, and a little laughter go a long way and always prevail. I can say that because on a few occasions my patience has been stretched thin. Looking back on it, I could have handled it better.

Excellent advice ST and yes, immediately after flying with the three stooges I was hair-triggered to pounce on the next new-hire that was from said regional. Like I said, I've been told that for whatever reason there is/was a problem with certain someones from that carrier and the hiring peeps now know as well. What they do with that info I have no idea but I've flown with some excellent ones since then and the pounce has been put out to pasture.

I think you hired one of our "gems" from my company. I'm still trying to pick up my jaw from the floor when they announced they were leaving for United.

Thanks Goob, and to all others who responded. I've literally been on airlineapps adding or changing something every day for the last 5 months. It's almost an obsession to see if I can find something. Sad thing is, sometimes I still do. Every time I read something I instantly go in and check.

For some reason I had a sick feeling after I never thought to check other inboxes, which now I do.

Good luck to those being selected!

At the very least have your spouse or another pilot (preferably one who has gotten hired at a major within the last 12 mo) look over your app. I had some glaring mistakes and I was updating weekly. Good luck!

Supposedly, this guy failed the Hogan. Had a mil background, too.

They said he must have cheated, because his score was perfect.

(Yes, I know I'm dating myself with the reference, but some will get it).

So, your app was published 5 months ago and no invite for the Hogan? Does anybody know the typical time frame from publish to invite?

There's no answer to that question... Some get the invite within a few months and others (who are most definitely qualified) have been waiting years with no invite. It all depends
