But I'm fairly certain most recruiters don't care about your feelings of support for either of these organizations. It's just a convenient venue for them to attend.
I don't think going to a job fair gives you any pts. I went to OBAP and asked a recruiter what can I do to add pts to my file. She said only BK knows the formula so she had no idea. It is basically a chance for you to ask questions face to face. The only thing the "recruiter" can do is make a note on your resume. Whether BK looks at all the ones they collect and adjusts your pt total, only he knows. But there are plenty of people that get called that never went to a job fair. And plenty that have gone to 2 or 3 and still have not received a call.

If you wait a couple days after receiving Hogan email does that look bad or should one try to complete it right away? Not putting it off, just lack of computer access for about the next 36 hours.

I searched this thread and I apologize if this has been asked before, but I didn't see it. Anyway, I'm joining the club for the failed Hogan and I'm curious if they still keep your application in the 'short stack' or do they send your app back into the app into the 12,000 pile of apps? If you keep your app updated can one expect a call in another year? Last but not least, if you fail the hogan a second time, are you excluded from UAL forever after that? Thanks!

- not sure about short vs long stack, but definitely sure that you'll be judged the next year versus applicants at that time... i.e. your addition of a Check Airman or DUI box check will matter accordingly.

- it sounds like some people get another chance fairly quickly and others are still waiting.

- 2 strikes at any point in the interview process (Hogan, etc) and you are out.

Good luck and keep up the good things you did that gave you the first shot.

Thanks for the info. It said in the email that I have to wait a year. Is it possible that they come back before the one year mark?

1Taco,

Sorry to read that you've joined the club.

Human Resources has enforced the one year time period so that you have sufficient time to concentrate on rehabilitating yourself and changing your *****y personality so that you are a much better fit for UAL the following year.

Not sure what your situation is - but after 'failing' the Hogan, I started looking elsewhere and was fortunate enough to get picked up at another Major a couple weeks ago. Don't limit your options.
