I got the email invite and the hogan link at almost the same exact time. As far as putting it off, I'd consider doing it within the next day. The longer you wait, the longer out your get to interview. The longer out the interview, the longer out your class date. I realize you want to prep for it, but you can't. Just be rested, and take it in a quiet place without distractions. And like everyone else mentioned, be consistent with your answers, and try to pretend that the question you are answering is all you are worried about. If you try to worry too much about how you answered the others, it can end up going bad. If you are yourself while taking the test, you will be consistent without even trying.

I'm waiting til Friday because I'm off work.
When I took it in the past, I avoided absolutes like always and never. I remember a lot of questions were the same.there were some that were exactly the same. I felt they were there to see if you were consistent in your answers.

I received the Hogan link yesterday (Wed) and I am waiting to take it this coming Monday. The way I see it, there are pros and cons to waiting that long. The cons: I psych myself out because I am thinking about it for 4 days. The pros: Monday is the next day that I don't have to commute 3 hrs round trip with a full work day in between. My wife and son will be out of town. So I can take the test after getting a full night's rest, and having no distractions.
What do you guys think? A good idea, or bad?

Wait until next week?? I wanted it compete. Its not a major math test. Do you know if the airline tracks how long to complete the test? Just food for thought!
Good luck!

Yeah, you're probably right. It's just that I've been waiting so long for this opportunity, that I'm scared to death of not making it past the HPI.
