No. If you bid ANYTHING that is not UPWARD (i.e. same or lower) you get a Bidding Freeze for 24 months and you can't bid again. (This doesn't count changing bases in the same equipment)

This isn't the old contract. We have 3 different types of freezes. Everyone seems to know about Equipment Training Freeze, but not the other 2.

I have a percentage bid in for several bases so I usually come and go off the snapshots as they change. You would have to look and see if the 5 "missing" pilots changed percentage over the last snapshot or if they were awarded another fleet or base on the next snapshot.
That makes sense. Ditto, the bidding larger equipment and having an out if you don't like the flying. That all makes good sense.

Looks like rather than posting a final, they posted another snapshot today- if you're hoping for a backfill, looks like you'll have to wait until Monday.

I would be surprised to see any backfill. Keep in mind they were at the MAX for most desirable categories. It would take a lot of people leaving WB slots to drop below MIN. Then again...you never know!

Did they run the snapshot before the noon closing on the 10th or after?

After noon (toward the end of the business day) with a note at the top that says the final bid with backfills will be released Monday.

My understanding is that you can go to the bus voluntarily, get that same few hundred hours and then bid the 76 as soon as there is a vacancy.

I am one of these 'very junior' 737 IAH F/Os that took an Airbus slot. I am about 90% on the 737 and expect to be about 40-45%ish on the Airbus.

It was a no-brainer to take it now rather than wait around on the 737 at 90% hoping you don't get sent to CCS on a 75 hours layover on your reserve days.

To further add to this, Section 8-D-2 (Bidding Freeze) covers this. The language, however, uses the phrase "may be ineligible" so it looks like the company can unilaterally remove the freeze if they see fit. A bidding freeze does not preclude you from upgrading in your current "frozen" equipment or bidding the same equipment in a different base.. Also, there is a provision allowing you to bid a new base. Oddly, that provision is in addition to the provision allowing you to bid between bases in your frozen equipment so one assumption could be that you could bid different equipment in that new base.
