Default Best Scheduler ever is gone.

For anyone on the L- CAL side, the sad news is that one of the best crew schedulers we ever had is leaving.

For those that have even interacted with Brenda, you know what I mean. For others, she could have been the pattern for what a crew scheduler should be. Never flustered, always easy to work with. She knew the rules backwards and forwards and would go out of her way to help a pilot.

I found out today she is leaving and going to American.
She missed Texas and she will get to take her retirement as well. I think she had been here for about 20 years or more.

She is one of the last to leave. Many other good ones just refused to go to Chicago- and who could blame them?

For any American guys that read this; our loss - your gain.

Agreed. Found out the other day. She was awesome when you needed some help. She'll be missed.

As a LUAL guy I never worked with Brenda, but really sad to hear one of the good ones go away.

Wait until they try and move both Training Centers to ORD and see how many good Instructors from IAH and DEN decide to not go.

That'll be interesting.

I dunno about Tk but a good housecleaning could be in order. I for one an not a fan of pilots who make a career out of the sim. Much prefer plenty or recent line experience. I can say this from personal experience. One tends to loose touch.

Those guys are good and they want to be there. We don't really have a problem that we need to clean house. (Can't speak for IAH but I assume they are all good instructors like the DEN guys)

He's right, DENTK needs a house-cleaning. Nothing personal, just some dead wood needs to go.

The PI's do a great job, but it's really not rocket science.

Resetting the sim so we can practice…that's about 90% of it.

I dunno about that... I had an experience with two PI's back to back where one was a little weak and one was EXCELLENT. It's hard to believe what a difference a really good PI can make when you are learning a new plane.
