Scab kicked an FO off the trip because he was not "friendly" yet professional? Classic.
Even though the UAL guys can bid the 787 after the arrival of the 25th, the way the fence is written they might not start flying them until the 29th or 30th is on the property.

Do you always take things so seriously?
Do I need to put a smiley face up?

The truth is none of us know the real record of the ER and how often it makes fuel stops when compared to other fleets.
Have some fun and don't forget the crew may have gotten some extra pay for the stop.

I can dig into CCS for a screen snapshot if you really doubt it. WX was low in SFO and 100+ headwinds from Iowa west. Even on a normal day you're lucky to do EWR-SFO and arrive with more than about 7.5k in my experience. Add another hour for winds, plus divert, etc.... We were never going to come close. Not bashing the Guppy, it is what it is. I'm sure the other 99% of the time it makes more money than an older 757.
