Not so much for LUAL. C2000 was better than this by far.

So the "We wanted a better contract" was not going to happen. You weren't going to magically get any work rules like we had, and based on the SLI presentation, if the quality of the people negotiating with the company for a contract was on par with them, then that confirms it.

Did CAL-ALPA really have a chance in 2009 and 2010 to argue for rates equal to DAL's rates when they just lost money for 9 quarters straight?
Sunvox: this is a good point. I would put the odds of Cal having this contract absent the UAL merger to be on par, or better, than the odds of ual furloughs being emoloyed today or ual fo's seeing upgrades today. Looks like we needed each other.

Jeez, I'm so excited for this upcoming job but please, Lord, never make me fly with any of these dorks. Can't wait to fly with a guy constantly whining about how terrible his life is or how much better it was before whenever. Sounds awesome!

I can count on 1 hand how many of these guys I'v flown with in the last 2 years. Nobody cares anymore......

But seriously this thread needs to be locked and the CAL/UAL Merger forum needs to be deleted so we can be thrown back into the general population so this garbage stops being spewed.

Don't fret...you'll like it. A little trend analysis shows its the same topic with the same people. You see posts from recent new hires and their observations. It is nothing like this forum.
