Guess again! Being too big had nothing to do with it. You might review what Larry Kellner, the guy who turned down the Merger in 08 actually said. Where do you guys get this stuff from?

Now, with all that said, who gives a chit. I really want to get the best contract possible. What will that take?

"Continental decided to drop the discussions after UAL announced worse-than-expected earnings, which sent shares falling last week. On Tuesday, United said it lost $537 million during the first quarter, on sharply higher costs for jet fuel. The airline, which spent more than three years under bankruptcy protection earlier this decade, said it would cut flights and eliminate a further 1,000 jobs."
Statements like the merger didn't happen cause UAL was too big are just plane false.

Vacancy bid 15-04V
Getting back to the thread topic, what time does the current bid close, and when are the final results posted? How does this reflect to those in class and those in the hiring pool?
Even though the current snapshot shows a bunch of 737SFO vacancies, why did the class that started this week only have the option to bid EWR 737 or A320?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
