There is only one lifestyle question I need to ask about a state.
Can you or can you not leaglly buy alcohol, tobacco and firearms in the same store and use/carry all of those items without prosecution by local law enforcement?

New Jersey has two distinct regions: north and south, with the divider being approximately I-195. North Jersey is a mixture of very wealthy suburbs, urban centers, and rural hills/mountains/forest. South Jersey (except the shore area) can have an Alabama feel. Some say there's also a distinct "central jersey", which is technically where I am.

Also, I agree. Stay away from the west coast. Just a bunch of nandy panzie liberal left wing radicals bent on taxation and regulation to ruin. With the major earthquakes we have almost every day, I'm amazed there is any one left in the state of CA. Run, run away as fast as you can!
Great map though!

I have a bid to EWR, planning on pulling up stakes on the West Coast and moving to the New York area. I was hoping for suggestions and thoughts on places to live that are within driving distance of EWR. It seems like houses are reasonably priced in eastern Pennsylvania which is about the limit of how far I want to drive (~70 miles). Are there other places people might recommend?
With the amount of people posting base trades trying to get to west coast from EWR - hope you explore that option too -not just put in a bid. win/win.

Born and raised in NE Philadelphia area, Lived 34 Years in Northern California, He has NO IDEA what He's talking about!! Especially if he's comparing the East Coast to the LA Area, Orange County CA. is one of the most CONSERVATIVE areas in th USA. The areas around LA are predominately populated by people NOT from
California that moved there to PURSUE a "hedonistic"lifestyle.
That?? is an uninformed statement ,if not outright Stupid and
Bigoted..
