"FOX type jab?" Ok. Feel free to explain the hidden meaning of what you said or just keep back pedaling. You said something dumb and got called on it, there was no "jab".

Ok then, while on your way out don't let the door hit you in that arse.
You can't blame ALPA for what JP did.
ALPA national can't unilaterally allow someone back into the union. It has to come from the local level. It was your CAL brothers that allowed your scabs back into your local union.

You don't know what you are talking about at all. And it shows. I was there. I heard the speaches from National leaders and it was before John Prater's and Jay Pierce's time. (talking about scab issue here)... Seriously, you don't know?
It happened while IACP was our union and while ALPA was "courting" the IACP. BTW, ALPA needed the Continental Express pilots vote to pull this off as CoEX had about 1000 votes and we were one union and one MEC. IACP was one body, although representing two pilot groups (mainline and CO ex). ALPA told mainline what they wanted to hear regarding the scabs, and it was at this time that ALPA formulated it's new "regional strategy" to court regionals and get their votes.
ALPA also promised us the coveted tool box and sold us the moon regarding ALPA's super-awesome seniority integration policies. I think we would have faired better as a separate union (IACP) then as a part of ALPA. I've seen enough of ALPA eating its own.
BTW, I have bought and paid for my right to be PO'd. You don't like it, you let the door hit you in the arse. I've been flying airplanes since age 15 and commercially since 22 and airlines since 25 and I am now hitting 50. I've paid my dues and then some and if I want to voice my opinion I will, you can either ignore me, or learn from those that have walked the walk.
I am not ANTI ALPA. I am just anti lying to the membership and prospective membership to get the precious votes they need to pursue their political agendas. ALPA is not an inverted pyramid as it proposes. We aren't all at the National BOD meetings when they occur so our voices aren't registered every two to four years when these national agenda setting votes take place.
I am not going to cow-tow to anyone and I really don't care anymore about this "unity" crap. If ALPA wanted Unity it would have gotten a proactive approach to scabbing a long time ago.
When the last scab retires we may be able to close the chapter on this. But until then, it's an ugly part of our past and our present.
I am watching carefully to see how ALPA does against the Norweign threat. If ALPA fails here, it will just be a different breed of scab, killing the career from the bottom up and lowering the cost of labor across the lucrative transatlantic routes.

Well, I am pretty PO'd about it and that feeling isn't going anywhere.
ALPA can suck it because I am not pleased with the outcome. Pretty easy for you to move forward when you are so "pleased." That's nice.
How about you go and have a nice cup of hot chocolate, a warm brownie, curl up in your ALPA blanket and count sheep, I mean seniority numbers.
SLI is over, but the pain will linger for the next 30 years for those who got mis-treated.
Hard to trust ALPA when you know you got screwed. Very hard. Stop talking and start listening, maybe then and only then you'll "get it."
The really hard part is ALPA screwed me, and I paid for it. That's the really hard thing to work through. It's like paying some close friend to come and rob me and my family. That's what it's like. You put all your faith and trust in your union, then you pay the union large sums of money, and then your union negotiates against you. I am not cool with it and never will be.
I am tired of UAL pilots telling me "get over it." NO way! Of course that's what UAL pilots would say, same thing National says. Gee, I wonder why?? That's what I would say if I just stole your car. Well I'd do it the ALPA way....I'd say hey, be glad you got a bike, now get on your bike and go for a ride and just be happy you've got air in the tires and oil on the chain. Forget about your car, We're giving it away to some dude you don't know and oh yeah, BTW, you still need to put gas in the car and pay for the insurance.
That about sums it up........How we doing so far there sparky? You getting the picture now. Is it clear, crystal yet? You need me to draw you a picture?

ALPA has dashed the dreams along time ago. What dreams? This is no longer a career, it's just a job. Fly your trip, go home and forget about it. All I really had left was the hope of a fair and equitable seniority integration, that didn't happen, so screw it. ALPA can kiss my arse.
Now exactly how did you get screwed over?

You know, like telling have truths or taking things out of context to blast someone for one's own personal gain. I'm still trying to figure out who or what you won over. There will be no back pedaling now that I know you're just picking a fight. I think I said it in a prior post about SLI being over. I'm very pleased by the outcome. You seem to want to lead a parade of misfits and malcontents down a road that will ultimately prove to be fruitless. I'll say it again, SLI is over - move on or get out of the way.
I'm trying to stay on the high road and maybe you should as well.

Back to the original topic, SCABs. I still carry a paper copy of the Eastern SCAB list. Don't you guys have a paper copy you can carry with you? If so how can I get one as I want to help out by not offering them a ride!
