Question UAL Trainees & Travel

Once you start training at UAL, how long has it taken to get into CASS, and how long has it taken to have one's travel benefits activated?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure how long cass takes but travel should be within 2 weeks. You will get positive space between home and training for the duration of training if you desire.

Thanks for the feedback. Anyone else have a specific time frame from when they started to when travel benefits were activated? My spouse has travel obligations...

If your spouse has obligations don't rely on non rev benefits to work. Flights are crazy full anymore.

Again, thanks for the advice, but what I'm really looking for is a time frame: when you started vs. when the travel benefits were activated.

Within 2 weeks if you have your paperwork in order at the start. I think you need to supply a marriage cert. your welcome pack will have the details.

CASS should be active by the first weekend.

For your wife and parents it will start right away. You have to get it all setup online (uploading marriage certificate, birth certificates, validation, etc.)

However it specifically spells out that non-rev benefits are not to be used for business travel. Not sure how they would find out, but on probation do you want to chance it?

That said, if she has to be somewhere then purchase a ticket. Non-revving to a required engagement is a guarantee that you won't make it, sometimes it can take two days to get somewhere. Other days its just flat out not possible.
