Management furloughed those pilots. They didn't get their rightful seniority restored, but they at least got some credit for their seniority in the SLI.

And UAL would still be here today without CAL. Not sure about the other way around.

Really wish this merger would have never happen, thanks Jeff.
I hear ya. You guys would have been golden dealing with APA. They are a much more compassionate bunch than us.

Those same guys that were furloughed as you walked into the industry fresh out of a pilot mill with 300 hours and got a job flying an RJ to replace them. Congratulations hot shot.

Don't bother...he forgets that when LUAL furloughees came back to work, LCAL was no more. LUAL could've hired anyone they wanted to include LUAL furloughees without any pilot say so. And what good would have it done LCAL pilots post SLI to put up a fight on it anyway?

One can only imagine. Weren't there a select few posting that the cal pilots deserved profit sharing and chaos would ensue if they didn't receive it? True unionists I say.

Cool

I'm beginning to understand why Jeff has so little respect for you LCAL guys. He found you guys could be bought. All you have to do is look over at the F/A side to see the plan he had for the pilot side. Unfortunately for YOU, (FAA) pilot training requirements and the LUAL MEC stopped it with a fresh contract. Leaving you standing their with your little pxxxxrs in your hands wondering what happened to your turn.

Now get in line - time will resolve your senority rights theft and put the LUAL pilots where they belong and forcing the LCAL pilots towards the bottom. Sounds fair - don't you think? Sad thing is there is nothing you can do about it

Regardless of your personal opinion, turn down the vitriol. Again, still, another notch. Whatever point you are trying to make is being drowned out. Others on this forum have been and are being harmed worse than you. Vent away, but deal with it; you are making the former blue team look bad.

So LUAL hates LCAL....LCAL hates LUAL. The Furloughees hate LUAL, LCAL, ALPA, and anyone else associated with either airline. LUAL lost their bases, but LCAL feels the same. LUAL was doomed if the merger did not happen. LCAL was doomed if the merger did not happen. If there is anything else to add here feel free, otherwise this thread may be finished.

Not me!
I think we shouldn't have gotten it. In fact, after it was proven we shouldn't have gotten it, I wanted our wages garnished until LUAL pilots were made whole.
THAT
WOULD
HAVE
BEEN
AWESOME
Unfortunately didn't happen that way.
