Four Roses is mighty fine!

Here's something for your perusal. If you're flush, Mile High Bar in DEN has three different Pappy Van Winkles on the shelf. Nice way to relax after your PC prior to your FC seat home.

If you ever have to lower your standards past 4 roses I will be assuming you are homeless or at least living in the crew room. But if by some chance you get thrown out and have to tumble lower and need something to make you forget about not only the good times but the bad times, well pretty much life in general, and focus on only the "Bottom of the Barrel" them this is your bourbon. It will make tap water from Lagos taste like Pappy and you will be singing a little john lee hooker "One Bourbon" in no time. I wouldn't wish this one anyone but J...

Nobody messes with a guy with a neck tattoo.
Tattooed neck, face or hands pretty much tells the world that you no longer give a SHIZEL....

However, with that recent changes to our home state's laws, it may depend. Having say "420" tattooed on one's neck may be the equivalent of a masters degree for job hunting purposes in a certain career field.

Off topic, but still fuel training related ... Anyone know how we are getting paid for completing it? Supposed to be one hour of pay correct? I completed it last month in April but it's not showing on my ccs "pay registrar" .... Just wondering.

BTW,

"The company has recently mandated “Fuel Efficiency Training” for all pilots and threatened “disciplinary action” if not completed on time. This training is not endorsed by ALPA and was not vetted by the Training Committee. The company failed to comply with 9-G-1 which reads as follows:

9-G-1-a The Company shall establish training policies and requirements. A Training Committee composed of representatives of the Company and representatives of the pilots shall be established. The Training Committee shall meet quarterly unless the parties agree to meet less frequently, or at any other time the parties mutually agree. It is the intent of the parties to this Agreement that this Training Committee shall provide the pilots with the opportunity to consult with and make recommendations to the Company on training policies or changes, training programs or changes, or any other matters affecting Pilot training. In the event that the Training Committee and the Company are unable to resolve issues of training, these issues shall be referred to the Managing Director of Training, the Senior Vice President of Flight Operations and the Master Chairman for resolution.

The MEC Training Committee was given no presentation that this training was being developed, nor were they given the opportunity to provide input.

This training module is ill-conceived and premature. First, without the Training Committee’s direct involvement, this training violates at least the intent of 9-G-1: collaborative training that is of the quality we should expect from our airline. Second, the ULN has been proven to be a poor platform for any type of training. If the company is truly serious about providing effective, meaningful training, they must first be working toward giving us the tools to complete that training. Third, this is training that must be done in a classroom alongside the Dispatchers. This ULN module should have been no more than a brief introduction.

Fuel is an important cost component of this company, and the pilots are concerned about our company’s health as much or more than anyone. But that does not give anyone the right to violate our Contract.

The UAL MEC Officers and MEC Committees are working with management to get this training rectified. We have also referred the matter to the Managing Director of Training and the Senior Vice President of Flight Operations per 9-G-1-a. We will report back to you as soon as this matter has a satisfactory resolution. this training violated the contract."
