UAL FNG NYC commuter equipment ?
A question for the online knowledge and opinion collective.
The ultimate goal is ORD and the type of equipment matters not.
If, and it's a big if, given the choice of A320 or 76T in NYC as a new hire while having to commute through ORD. Which piece of equipment if any would the prudent aviator choose as a new hire to better facilitate said commute?
Thank you in advance

Are the schedules in NYC on both airplanes fairly similar from the new hire reserve commute point of view?

For an absolute new hire, it's probably a wash since everything rolls downhill but after a year the differences will become more apparent.

Thank you for the info. With the help of an acquaintance at UAL and looking at I believe what you call the junior pilot table ORD 76T is 11936 and 320 is 10329. This would appear the 320 in ORD has historically been about 1,600 numbers or so senior to the 76T. Am I reading that right?

Also, you'd need a vacancy bid to get to ORD. there will be bumps on the 767 in ORD come fall. On the other hand, there should be quite a few 320 vacancy bids available in the fall.

Ah okay. Thanks. Now all I need is a class date...
