Long call release time question
UPA (20-K-5-c) states long call is released at 1000 on the last day if next day is RDO, HDO or VDO and 1500 if next day is FDO or CDO.
Back up to 20-K-3-c-(1)...A reserve assignment shall not begin on a scheduled day off, unless the day off is a VDO.
If I'm on last day of long call before an FDO (1500 release), can the company assign a trip at 1300 on the last reserve day that reports at 0100 the next day (an FDO)? My interpretation is no per 20-K-3-(c) because it is beginning on a non-VDO day.
I realize not many trips show at 0100 but the real question is the release time.

That was my understanding, too. They can reassign/add on to an ID into an HDO, but they can't assign something new starting on an HDO. Recommend submitting a PDR and select Answers Hotline. They'll call within a few minutes if it's time critical, which this seems to be.
