They killed Hank!!!???

TW, nicely done. Sounds like a few of my months as well. Last May I almost went to landing school on the bus! One of my prouder moments. I picked up an easy two day to skip TK.

I'm EWR based and live in Iah. Would you sit long call from Iah?

Well, that depends on how much you are willing to roll the dice. Long Call is 13 hours, right? So you are on long call and you check your schedule per the contract at 1500 Base Time. You have a 0530 show in EWR. Can you make it or not?

Also they can switch you from long call to short call with only 10 hours notice from 0000 to 1759. From 1800-2359 requires 12 hours notice. If they called at 1730 and gave you a 0300 short call assignment would be able to make it?

As an ORD 67T f/o that lives local, I threw a "no-hitter" last month. I missed the "perfect game" by just one FSB. So, I left the house 1 time for mother United, but did not turn a wheel. 1 un-used FSB and 3 un-used SCs and I get 75 hours for all my trouble.

Don't expect that will last too long as all the 67T F/Os that have gotten a bid will undoubtedly be sent to training first.

It is difficult if you need the cash associated with higher flying, but if not, it is a pretty sweet deal.

I hear this, but it doesn't make sense....

So you can sit at home for 75 hours pay, or fly 18 days and get paid 90. Because that 15 hours of pay is such a big deal.

And giving up 18 days off for an additional 15 hours of pay doesn't sound like a good trade-off to me.

Or you could find something else to do in those days off that also earns money, and lets you be with your family at night. You might even find you can make even more money.

I realize some guys are running their finances pretty right, but United Airlines isn't the only way in the world to make money.

After all we are all (98%) college grads....

Kiss my *** Holmes! I'd rather be a line holder and have a schedule, than hope THEY don't ring me....why do you care so much what another college grad is up to?
