Reality: Its 6 guys that have selected guppy Captain.

Proof: Pilots would rather fly big airplanes. 90 of them can go ANYWHERE they want and only 6 going to the little guppy.

Pilots would rather fly widebody FO than guppy Captain as proven by these 90 pilots. It's overwhelming.
REALLY, you don't have much of a life!!

Gee Staller (oops I mean Carols Danger) that says it all. I wish you good luck finding that flying Delorean so you can go back to Aug 30th, 2013 and change the future. I'm overwhelmed by your dedication to an already settled issue. I doubt the National Championship game will be any near as conclusive as the close of the 747 LAX Displacement bid.

Why do these pilots chose WB F/O over guppy captain?

First if you can figure it out and bottle it you might make some money.

However, my bets are on these:
1. They actually like traveling to foreign ports over layovers in DSM, IAH, IAD,...
2. They really don't like the cockpit on the guppy.
3. They have "friends" in foreign lands.
4. They like the old captains.

The best part is people have a choice about where they liv, what they fly and what kind of lifestyle they can choose. It doesn't get much better than that.

Don't forget 13 days off a month in may, jun, jul, aug and sept on the guppy...senior or not, that's pretty much the norm.

Can someone explain why the snapshot today shows a LCAL pilot being displaced out of DEN guppy Captain to LAX 787 FO? There are 2 guys now going to guppy Captain in DEN, so it looks like that caused a displacement out of DEN and that pilot is going to 787 FO LAX.

Maybe it is a mistake, but it looks like he got displaced because of the two guys coming in.

I'm just not sure what the new rules are.

There are no new rules. It is another IT mistake. Only named 747 Caps and FOs will be able to bump to other bases on this bid. Freaking FUBAR. What a joke of a company.

1) Don't understand the Staller/Carols Danger reference.

2) Don't want to change the SLI. It isn't perfect and I think the arbitrators made some mistakes but I can live with it.

3) What does this have to do with War Eagle winning it all?

I noticed what looks like secondary displacements on the 747 bump as well. Looks like a LAX 767T capt got bumped as well as the guppy Capt in DEN.

Wait, that can't happen.

There won't be any displacements. Right? Right???????

I think they are coming to the conclusion they need to bump first, then advertise vacancies. I think that will limit a lot of vacancies except those fenced. I would bet the 76T bumps are about to start.

Nope. We were told that this won't happen.

Of course the same people said the UAL SLI proposal was "extreme" and it was 90% adopted.
