Flight attendant furloughs on the LUAL side?

All the info, with the actual side letter, is available here:
Furlough Information
Note how easy the web site is to navigate and the ease with which information is found. You know, the exact opposite of the ALPA site.

My understanding based on one crew is that it's not just a Vol Fur but a cross over offer as well. Meaning they can leave or work for L-CAL but if they choose cross over they go to the bottom. In addition I am lead to believe this is the second cross over and the first group is already off reserve. Given that we have FAs with 25 years doing A/B reserve rotation I think this is scandalous but par for the course.
As far as reserve goes, the United FAs themselves put in place the system that has 25 year employees sitting rolling reserve. The CAL system is like our pilot reserve, it's bid by straight seniority. If you unlucky enough to be junior for a LONG time, you will sit reserve for a LONG time, it's not some CAL conspiracy.
My guess is United knows the CAL FAs will take more productivity for more money so they are building up the CAL side. Soon the numbers will be such that the CAL FAs can outvote the UAL FAs. Ask the NWA FAs how that worked out for them at Delta. They lost their union. It's probably in their best interest to give in a few contract areas and get their contract done sooner rather than later.

One question I gotta ask... What is the deal with United's fetish with calling the 73 the Guppy? For the most part the only pilot group I have ever heard calling it that is United. Not to mention it seems like most take a great deal of pleasure is saying it as much as they possibly can. Not that I really care just wondering.

Its just what we called it. Why call the 777 the "Triple seven"? Why not the seven seven seven? We don't usually call the 747 the Whale. We call it the "400" because we used to have the 747-100 and 200 that were the "ropestart".
Its certainly NOT an insult, but its amazing how many pilots get all upset when we call the airplane a guppy.
I've never heard an airbus pilot get upset for falling the airbus "The Bus".

Call it guppy if you want, no insult to me. Do you call your comforter at home a blanky? Your friend your buddy. Maybe your wife Mommy? These are obviously the pilots who like the name things. Meet Mr. Wiggly...ahhh never mind.
Who knows....whatever works for you. Naming things is childish, but we are talking about pilots. Carry on boys.
