What I meant was that flying LUAL long haul was a mid-career retirement/vacation. The 757 flying is much less work than a Guppy, but still a lot more work than either the 777 or 74. International flying or not, and I don't know the guy, maybe he is moving to Texas.

I do not care about putting the gear down 5 times a day. Just pay me and give me a clean bed to sleep the night. Call me crazy; I have been in China the last 5 years!
FWI;
Its 0217 here in China, and I just finished a 3 day trip. Did a turn in the morning then a 1 leg at midnight. So, I think 737 flying is not a problem for me. At least this hotel had a clean bed.
HP, L-CAL guy on the 737 EWR based for 7 yrs now. Have never flown 5+legs a day. Never had on my line, when I was very junior. Don't think thats happening anywhere on the 737. Other bases and 737 folks speak up, if thats changed or changing? Don't think you will have to worry. In fact, most times in EWR is maybe 2 or 3 legs a day max. My next trip is a 13 hr two day( EWR-SNA-SFO/ then day 2 SFO-EWR) Many times, just one leg per day... This is EWR, so probably some variance with other bases, but not 5 legs a day...as the norm. Hope this helps

Hey Slam, thats cool. Thanks.

Dave, I was just wondering if I didn't have some basic knowledge about the IAH base that I am headed to. Yeah, he is probably moving there and loved the 757 when he was on it in SEA. My guess.

good night

No. I don't believe he could, as 42xx is the junior CAP on the UAL side, but that was not my point. He bumped to IAH 756, which is the CAL side. I meant nothing by it, just the facts.
Lighten up, Francis

And the CAL side has tons of FO's with 20 years seniority, but they never mention those guys.

When the top 80 guys flying right seat in a 757 can also hold Captain, but don't bid it you've got to scratch your head because that doesn't happen anywhere on the UAL side.
