...and that is why I can say: "I slept with a super-model."

Well, .... its seems to me the Company's position, i.e., last assigned in B/F is pretty reasonable. You seem to be making the argument that as long as there is a seat in the back, they can't sell that $$$$$ seat up front?

Correct - and that was the intent but it looks like we lost that one. Expect it to be rectum-fied next contract.

Here is the wording.

5-J-1-h For 757-200 aircraft equipped with lie-flat seats, one (1) premium lie-flat window seat. The adjacent aisle seat shall be the last seat assigned on the aircraft.

You guys can do the math.

Well now wait a minute....I can't do the math. You see, I don't have a four year degree. Little help here please!!

I have flown with a mess or rocket surgeons though!

Since you asked.. I'll answer.

I had already set up a FaceBook Group for Council 5. I also wanted to have a website page (even on ALPA.org) that allowed two way communication.
I believed that we should use modern social media to get info out, and to have discussion.

As it turned out, I did not make the ballot and life goes on. Probably a blessing in disguise.

I do know one thing.. since taking office, not much has changed with regards to comm.
I got the Arb opinion off of CALForums.com
The author of the thread was the Council 5 Capt Rep!
However, had I not been a member of that forum, I would not have known about it till the 6th.
[The Arb Brief is dated from Oct.. wonder why it took till the 5th of Nov for us to hear about it]
To date, I have not seen the Arbitrators Brief on the UAL MEC Email, nor have I located it on the ALPA Site. C5 did attach it to their Blastmail on the 6th.

Again, why not let every United Pilot know what happened? I may affect many of them going into the future. It is "interesting" reading.

As is, I'm done with all this BS>
Just gonna go to work and do my job. Had I not been checking up on something for someone I would not have even seen your post but since you did address it to me, I figured I owed you an answer.
End of the day, it is what it is.

Motch

PS> Anyone attend the First C5 meeting last week? I decided not to attend after reading the brief. But have heard the meeting was not well attended. If that is true, it doesn't bode well for the future of this base~
Have a good/fun career all..

I am a retired old guy and think I'm able to look at the big picture, and it seems to me that some of you guys lose sight of the "big picture". I used to think you wanted the company to make money. I don't mean roll over and be a serf, but I have a disconnect on this one. Last seat sold in B/F still seems reasonable to me. And, yes, I've flown augmented crew.

If THAT is what tanks our airline there are bigger problems. Retired and on forums instead of the golf course ?! Really ?

A good Marvin is a RETIRED one.

How many B/F seats do you think United actually "sells"? Perhaps you've been gone since the free upgrade era.
