Craziness. I'm all for working together but I'm sorry no computer program can possibly understand that planning 14,000 over destination into Mumbai isn't wise given your nearest airports are in a country that wants to start a war with the 283 people we have on board.

Adding fuel is great but instead of allowing the company to continue to skimp on gas. How about just start taking what they give you. If you got wx enroute, holding, different alt and can't make it divert (if feasible). This happens enough times and guess what. It will get changed. You all know they won't do anything unless forced to.
