I'm a 99 hire, but not familiar with Kru Kruger......can someone explain?

But agree that the New Hire Indoc and 8-Ball made it a memorable event. Something to celebrate....I want to see that again, for all of us.

Kru is a Denver 767 Captain. Just a GREAT fellow. Did a helluva good job as new hire coordinator for a LONG time back in the day. Good to see him back. That's all.

Well, I'm in the pool and I'm fairly certain I'll be the 8-ball. Excited to be a part of the tradition.

I wondered if it was mythical character that someone played the part of at the ceremony.

Nice to see some traditions making a comeback.

As a member of the sacred circle of 8-Ball guardians, it would have been worth hopping a ride to Denver for the event. I hope it was a good time.

So, are the shirts going back up somewhere? I understand the Doubletree took them down a few years ago. I still have the shirt that bridged the 2007/08 classes to mine in 2012 (had to give the new Ball as fresh shirt as this one was full).

Thanks to all who came out to share in the celebration tonight. We had roughly 50 Blue and Black in attendance, and there was much rejoicing! Kru held court as only he could do, here addressing the new class:

And then it was time to pass the sacred orb to it's new guardian.......I present to you, the new Jr. pilot at the airline.......the 8-Ball formerly known as Nick:

God save the ball!

I hope the pics work! And to answer the question........the new-hires did receive half-wings!
