So where's your Mea Culpa?

Well, sir, I'm afraid I simply disagree with your interpretation of the meaning of "exactly". Exactly meant the United methodology and algorithm which used stovepiped category and class sorted by longevity and included the furloughed pilots. There is no way the absolute pilot numbers could stay the same as we all knew it did not represent the precise final actual pilots to be included. The arbs used every single facet of the United list building methodology with a tiny tweek. Most importantly they included furloughed pilots with the active so no sir I do not intend to "pay up or shut up". I will, however, buy your beer and your dinner if we ever fly together and you decide you want to yell at me at the bar for a while.

We are ALL UAL pilots now on one list - enough already.
We as L-UAL pilots can set an example or we can make total as*es of ourselves and put a wedge further between these two groups of pilots that now make up the list as we know it. Who does that advantage to be a split group - think about it.
ALPA Code of Ethics FAIL
Let the former L-CAL pilots figure out what happened on their own - it will come to them but to rub their face in it is UNSAT in my book.

I'm happy to grant you the following:
The ISL is fair and equitable.
The Arbs generally followed the United MC methodology.
The Arbs completely rejected the Cal MC methodology.
Many Cal pilots had very unrealistic expectations (I didn't, but I guess I'm a realist and a cynic by nature).
Many L-UAL guys were angry and insulted by the Cal MC proposed list (which didn't come close to following ALPA Merger Policy).
Now - having said all that, I don't feel it's necessary or helpful to insist that others admit they were at fault. It was intuitively obvious from the beginning that the Cal MC strategy was effed up as a soup sandwich. We fumbled the ball in our own end zone - multiple times. You shouldn't have been insulted; you should have cheered.
Luckily for us all, the Board saw through the arguments and gave us a generally fair list. I really don't think there were any big winners and losers, but that's the way it's supposed to be. Let's move on!

This is getting silly. Are we going to debate the meaning of "is" like Bill Clinton?

To APC and all posters on this thread . . .
I can not undo the thread, and honestly I would not undo the thread even if I could because it has over 5000 views but only a couple dozen replies so I feel I have been successful in planting the seeds of doubt in many minds,
BUT,
to all the Continental pilots who have an open mind and who are willing to still drink beer with United pilots when we finally layover together I apologize absolutely and profusely for offending you with this thread. It was not you to whom I was speaking, but it was you whom I offended and for that I am sorry.
