It will actually make a big difference for the following reason: LUAL is going to close the 777 base in SEA, and the 400 base in LAX (most likely). When they do that, they will almost certainly open 787 domiciles in at least one of those places. So you are displacing some of the most senior pilots that LUAL has out of the best and most senior domiciles and opening it up for only LCAL pilots to replace them. Going to be a tough pill to swallow for some VERY senior pilots who all of a sudden find themselves commuting when they don't want to be.
However, I'm well aware that there is a lot of pain for both sides of the fence here, and this section of the award doesn't exist in a vacuum

So, if I got hired back today I wouldn't be too much junior to where I would have been had I returned in '07.
I think I had about 950 pilots junior to me on 9/11/01. Sounds like it would be about the same percentile now as I was back in '01.
Good luck to all of you. Wish I could have come back...or at least still have recall rights.

You mean LEAPFROG to CA! My '97 *** is paired with Jan '99 CAL hires. Not ideal, but I'll take it. It means that Routemap, MitchRapp, Vspeed, B. Salley, and Sedpa are all junior to me by a long stretch. That alone is worth the price of admission.

Jeff is glad to have guys like Sled around. He is going to need sheep to BOHICA further on scope very soon. Good thing guys like sled have an long track record of talking tough then giving it up. Hopefully us '05-'08 entitlement punks, furloghees, and new hires can finally begin to outweigh the sled like mentality in the years ahead.

How appropriate. Hey genius, for the next 5 years your UAL peeps are the ones getting furloughed first. Then again your actions have long shown you could care less for the furloughees.

I don't understand why you are stirring the pot so much. Can you please get back on the high road?
