This is correct contractually. But as we've seen thus far being correct with what the contract says does not mean that the company will actually follow it. ALPA of course will offer reassurance that the JIT team is aware of the problem and will work hard to find a solution. I don't claim to know how this will shake out, but I feel confident in saying that the current manpower planning folks lack both the mental and physical tools necessary to allow successful application of this contract post ISL. Lucky for them our management couldn't care less...
I think that the management team is fine, they are making a profit and that is all that counts.

You've proven time and again that you are not a pilot that you are young kid and you've done it to yourself with your statements. Pilots don't, Sqrewe all the other pilots wives and girlfriends, they don't test drive "lambos" on layovers, and they don't threaten to fight other pilots in ops because they are "huge".
Everybody knows DMC you are not fooling anybody.

Honestly, that makes no sense. What vacancy are we suppopsed to bid into? Those that chose stay out can't bid on a vacancy bid while on furlough. So are we supposed to wait until recalls catch up with vacancy bidding. UAL pilots already filled a vacancy why should they wait for another.

Of course nothing could surprise me since this came from CAL-ALPA.

Sounds like they are trying to manage your expectations and getting you to understand that a lot of furloughed UAL bubba's will be slotted in with active pilots. aka....ALPA MERGER POLICY.
Of course nothing could surprise me since this came from CAL-ALPA.

Secondly...if UAL ALPA doesn't fight this with all we have (verrrrry unlikely IMO) I would be first in line to contribute to the legal fund. There would be IMMEDIATE harm to the pilots who are bidding at a lower position than their seniority dictates and there is no good justification for not properly sorting the BES rosters.
,FWIW, I'm not a furloughee, I'm not a lawyer, I'm not flying at LCAL, and I've never contributed to any other extra-ALPA complaints.
