Thanks to the merger, post ISL, yes, you do get a piece of that. It's very hard to imagine that absent a merger, you would have access to any growth in such a short amount of time. Lots of UAL folks want to claim that a stand alone CAL would not have had this growth ... well, we would have had this growth AND MORE.

Yeah, and UAL has no flying in IAH, EWR, or CLE.
We had a Lax base with a sizable amount of island flying BEFORE this blasted merger. Is it exactly proportional, probably not. But again you guys gave 10% of your flying away in the TPA. What did you guys get for that concession anyways?

Thank you for what? Its almost like you guys like giving away your flying. First 70 seaters, then 10% of your current flying. But wait lets not stop there, lets give them 76 seaters. As a side note, shame on any CAL guy who voted for this abortion, especially after seeing what happened to UAL.

Nothing personal, but y'all remind me of a bunch of pre-K's waking up too early from a nap.

Based on what? Your dream world? Based on the fact that NWA/DAL booted CAL out of Sky Team? Good thing Kellner set you up in the Star Alliance and won antitrust immunity from the feds for setting prices and schedules with United Airlines. You think that might have helped your prospects a little? At merger announcement, you were still out on furlough. Now you have 100s below you. So we KNOW what happened with the merger, what woulda/shoulda happened without a merger is just speculation.

Oh, ofcourse no alliance would of wanted the U.S. airline with the most awards, with the biggest New York market and youngest fleet..nooo who would want that..I tell you who...UNITED.... and badly.

Continental was the best thing that could of happened to United and espexially the furlough pilots...and you know it.

Too funny.

Get furloughed to enable a merger and it's the best thing that could have happened to the furloughed pilots?

Yikes.

LOL
Talk about thread drift~

Motch

PS> I recognize the right of these pilots to file their grievance and possible Lawsuit. They have a right, and if they are using their own funds.. so be it.
Without going too deep into it.. they make a couple of valid points~
And they are also (in my opinion) out in left field on a few issues.
But I'm not a Lawyer and this is why we have Lawyers and a system that allows them to do what they are doing.
