Default September Bump ??

The lastest rumor is a sizable bump in September on the s-UAL 75/76. Not a big stretch with 6 a/c leaving in the 3rd QTR and 13 in the 4th QTR.

Company Outlook
Fleet Plan
As of July 25, 2013, the Company’s fleet plan was as follows:
Mainline Aircraft in Scheduled Service
B757-200/300 154 (2) (2) (6) (13) 131 (23)

United Continental Holdings, Inc. - Investor Relations - Investor Relations

click on Investor Updates. Then 7/25/2013.

What is worse is when you look at the totals-
Start the year with 702 mainline aircraft.
End the year with 692 mainline aircraft.

However...
Start the year with 551 Regional Aircraft.
End the year with 576 Regional Aircraft.

;(

I wonder how many will bump down into the Guppy or Airbus?

There are 106 vacancies on the 756 in IAH on the LCAL side....according to this last bid.

Go figure?

I bet a lot of mid range seniority pilots will take the bump initially. Some FOs will go to the 777 and 400 if the junior number can hold it. Mid range Capts will go to narrow body. Senior Capts will have to wait for the 400 or 777, depending on how the isl works out. Who wants to be on a dying fleet?

Exactly..
We get a Union Blastmail about the scheduling issues and that IAH is Overstaffed.
We have IAH 756 crews deadheading in and out of EWR and IAD to do EWR flying.
We heard that the 767-400 flying was being transferred to EWR.

Yet IAH has the most vacancies on the latest bid?

Goes to show that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing!

Motch

Also of note loss of 23 hulls on the l-UAL side and a gain of 13 hulls on the l-cal side.

Nope. The SLI is less than 1 month away. Then there are no sides.
