agreed..
what sucks though is this-
Are we going to have a "Joint/New" MEC that makes this decision or is the company planning one last decisive deal pitting one side against the other at the last minute?
Again, this issue of a SFO 737 Base was brought up back in January (2013) with regards to the LCAL Bid (14-02).
The company wanted a base opened back then (which, based on Bid 14-02 would actually not have had to been staffed until Sept).
The UALALPA Side had issues with that (so the story goes..) and so Bid 14-02 (which was required per the CAL CBA) did not show a SFO Base.
It's like watching a slow motion train wreck~

No I don't but he was "spot on" on many of the happenings and misdeeds of the CAL MEC. You only see a small sampling of UAL pilots on this CAL forum but he is very typical of the UAL line pilot.

That's between the LUAL pilots and their MEC. Whatever they do it will benefit only LUAL pilots, as it should. I think it's in the damages phase so a third party may be deciding how they should be made whole.

Well I guess we will see if they listen to the pilots or not, they don't have a great history. But hey maybe I will be suprised.

Is no coincidence that after Fred and a few of his obstructionists have departed the Senior Flight Ops scene, that we are now seeing the FAIR progress and/or steps that should have been done a while ago. Someone on a certain MEC most feel very lonely and rumors are that one member in particular has been spotted South of the border in Panama/COPA land.
C'mon Lee, you are usually better than propagating Krazy Kravits line. Jay was down in Panama at the request of the Panamanian CAA (their FAA) and COPA to help develop a version of ASAP for their pilots. CAL (and ALPA) has had a long history with COPA, and ALPA National wanted Jay to go because of that long standing relationship.

Nice way to twist the original post. Here's what I said,Not sure how that could be interpreted differently, as you have. Syd111 was simply making the valid point that the LUAL pilots should get the money outright. No one even implied that LCAL has anything to do with this.
