My point was about making sweeping generalizations. I made none in my post.

Here is the funny thing to me. Having been at the schoolhouse in the past and knowing the process of getting an instructor up to speed and legal. It takes about 12 to 18 months to get a guy fully up to speed to where he can do PC PT etcetera.

TK has no hiring notice up. TK has no way of even thinking about hiring and training the bare minimum number of instructors to meet the demand within the next year or two. WHQ never seems to understand that it takes the time it does to train instructors. They are getting ready to have this 200 lb weight dropped on their toes once again. This will be the 6th or 7th time I've seen it happen only this time it's really going to smart. And of course ALPA will grant an exclusion vis side letter and allow 2200-0200 training slots to help alleviate the strain. Those are MISERABLE especially if you have multiples mixed in with early morning starts and fun stuff like that.
Lets just say that learning and retention are somewhat diminished during those sim sessions..

The light I see at the end of this tunnel is defiantly not sunshine. I don't understand how they can continue to not get it in regards to this very issue. Of course we are now "professionally" managed vis a vi Jeffy.

Man true DAT. It seems all I do is fly MEX out of IAH. On another note, it's ASTONISHING how many 50 seat RJ's fly in and out of ORD. I was #50 something for departure the other night, and all I could see was RJ's. Sure makes me shake my head when I hear management complaining about delays when you see all those small airplanes running around.

The last number I saw was 64% of all departures out of ORD are RJ's. Not just UAX but total departures.

Well at least we were able to douse the fire by capping the hours and not having UNLIMITED 78 seat Q-400s flying around.

You can only negotiate for those who are unified.

LAX, are you seriously trying to imply that our unlimited 70 seat TURBOPROP clause is more detrimental than your 70 seat E-JET/first class, ORD-BIL capable, scope clause is?
