Default bad gouge

The Feb Hiring report posted on UAL Flight Ops Website said interviews starting back up in April 3 days per week... Not sure where the "sky is falling" gouge is being generated but it's not accurate.

Ha, because it's what some pilots do. Panic on hearsay.

The Interviewers have been told not to expect to come in for interviews until Fall.
The Trainers have been told their focus will be on Upgrades and equipment transfers of pilots on property.

I really hope that is all bad gouge .....but it is all coming from internal UAL.

Here's what is says from the Houston CP, on the Flight Ops Website (keep in mind, the Junior Man info you can find in three different places on "Flying Together" gives three different answers):

Latest update on hiring

Interviewing is not currently in progress and may not start back up until the fall. There
are currently just fewer than 200 pilots in the pool awaiting a class date. The last
couple of classes were as follows:

February 4 class (15)
New Hires – 7
Return from LOA – 5
Return from Furlough – 3

February 11 class (9)
New Hires – 3
Return from LOA – 5
Return from Furlough – 1

February 18 class (8)
New Hires – 3
Return from LOA – 2
Return from Furlough – 3

Default 25 March class numbers?

Anyone hear what the 25 March class numbers were?

They should have come out earlier this week.

Thanks for the timely info T38!

Feb 4th class aircraft breakdown (my wife is in this class is how I know).

1 - 777
1 - 756
3 - 76T
6 - 320
4 - 737

I believe they are all EWR for the people that got to/chose to pick/change.

Keep in mind that the 777 FO was a returning LOA pilot, so they weren't a "new hire" getting a 777 FO seat. All the rest of the seat could have been given to new hires.

Good point. Should have mentioned that. I think the 756 person was a returning person too.

Vacancy 14-06 is out. No Denver backfills, no surprise there. A WAVE of blue is washing into 737 EWR CAP....again, there are no unfilled vacancies in any BES, and the company is definetly getting some voluntary defections from the 76T in all bases, which makes it easier to park those 30+ jets this year.
