What is the quickest airplane to LAX and how long has it taken guys? I would suspect the 737 since it's a larger category overall.
Any LAX guys care to chime in how what reserve is like? How long to a line, etc etc?
Thanks

I've been off property for about 6 years so I can't really tell you much on what reserve is like nowadays. I'm planning on returning in one of the May classes and hope to get to the west coast too. I have a feeling I will be commuting to EWR for awhile though.

We have already displaced close, if not over, 200 pilots from SEA 777, SEA 76T, LAX 747, ORD 747, DEN 76T, DEN 320, ORD 76T and ORD 320. Just because the pain is finally hitting a Continental stronghold doesn't mean we are about to implode. IAH pilots had the opportunity, after being warned several times of overstating, to bid the growing 320 fleet in IAH. None of them did so now they are getting displaced.........and the ball keeps rolling.

Mainline +21 aircraft (~3% growth)
Regional -63 aircraft (~11% shrinkage)
Do you really think that there will be furloughs with 21 additional aircraft added to the fleet in 2015? And how many mandatory retirements will there be in 2015?

I agree; except my numbers are a bit higher. I'll go with 900-1200.
The economy is just starting to hit the 'sweet spot' as far as economic growth and corporate profitability. All of that translates into more jobs, more spending, more demand for air transportation. Combine that with United's upguaging where we're seeing a lot of regional flying moving back to mainline, United will probably continue to increase mainline fleet size for the next few years.
