Is there anywhere out of DEN besides EWR that would be a decent commute?

From what I can tell, Denver to:
ORD: lots of RJs
IAH: tons of commuters and training center folks
SFO: tons of senior widebody commuters, weather, ATC issues
LAX: not bad, bunch of widebody commuters but tons of options and not the weather problems and ATC flow issues that plague SFO

While we're on the subject: newhires now having non-EWR options need to consider the co-domiciles.

LAX: SNA
SFO: SJC

LA means having a car, SFO is doable to SJC via public trans.

EWR covers LGA and it is a non-issue via CPO contracted van service.(set rate that you pay)

Just my observations in the last year and a half. Smarter folks than me can chime in.

LAX would not be bad. But there is a reason I will continue to commute to EWR instead of LA. I love LA BTW. Tons of redeyes and less days off per month as a line holder in LA. LA had 13 days off vs 17 in EWR for Oct/Nov lineholders at my seniority. Much as I love SOCAL, I will not give up 4 days per month for redeyes and lots of EWR layovers. I spend 3-4 nights a month in EWR(commuting in night prior) and the rest in FL, SOCAL or the Caribbean for layovers currently.

How does jumpseat work? First come first serve, seniority based, seniority based until a certain time before scheduled departure or? And I read no FA jumpseat?
Can you reserve the cockpit jumpseat and how does that work with the above parameters?

Never done PDX/SEA, just have friends that did, they said it sucked.

Just my experience in 15 years commuting out of DEN;

EWR, sucked. But there were less flights than and SW wasn't doing it.
IAD, sucked.
IAH, sucked when I was doing it, but that was BEOFRE L-CAL opened the base and it eradicated a lot of commuting FA's taking up seats if the JS was already taken. Relied on F9 A LOT.
ORD, sucked. Weren't ANY RJ's when I was doing it. Did a lot of 2 leggers though, or the MDW-ORD shuffle when going in the night before.
LAX, by far the EASIEST commute I had done.

YMMV, no purchase necessary, limited offer, subject to restrictions, details inside........

Don't worry I'll hold you personally accountable!

Its seniority based Someone can waltz up and take at the last second. Yes you can reserve it, but so can the other UA pilots that want that flt.
