Have you guys heard anything on the differences in schedules and base assignments between Bus and 73 ? it's all about QOL. Commuting from west coast so trying to get my facts straight before I show up. Wanting a IAH or SFO base ASAP so wondering what the most realistic way of doing that would be.

Awesome thanks for info. I keep hearing about schedules on bus are they that bad. Am I missing a big piece of the pie of knowledge with regards to choice between the 73 and bus other than quickest route to SFO?

From talking to bus guys, they do a lot of hub-hub flying. 73 flying is really diverse.

The Bus is the red headed, hair lipped, bastard step child of the airline.
Apologies to all the red headed, hair lipped, bastard step child pilots of the airline, and red headed, hair lipped, bastard step children worldwide.

I'd say with the exception of ETOPS, the Airbus and 737 flying is about the same. With that being said, the ETOPS does get you to some more tropical layovers. Also, I think it just seems more "diverse" on the 737 side because it's about twice the size (and growing) as the Airbus.

I would say there is more 737 flying by volume. I think the 73 does a ton more Caribbean flying and transcons. My perspective is EWR so take that into consideration. The SFO 73 flying is mostly redeyes, so much less desireable IMHO.
