Looks like the instructions are slightly out of date, but since all one is doing is running a Virtual Machine (VM) it should work on any platform provided there is a Citrix Receiver for it.
FWIW, the current Mac version is 11.8 (free download).
And yes, it works just fine on this Mac (2012 MBP/OSX 10.8.4). Anybody can try this at home by installing Citrix Receiver and then going to the SKYEBROWSER Returning Users section in the instructions above. It will take one all the way up to the sign-on to LMS but if you can get that far it means it works.

Nope. I don't even know my LMS sign-on (life is good). Besides, I'd rather go through a full A320 course for the 5th time---I could use the sleep.
But I was curious if the Mac would work since I already had Citrix installed for a different reason.

Have you done the math with the early out option? Not a tremendous amount of incentive for people to leave. Maybe a few that are covering up illness and potential grounding but I would be very surprised if more than 50-100 pilots take the early out option. It just isn't enough of an incentive for many. Heck, many of the pilots that are senior wind up working 9 months out of the year after taking vacation and have 1000 hours of SL. They can burn the SL at 100% pay instead of the buyout at pennies on the dollar.

Is it a good chance? No.
There are just too many highly qualified candidates with degrees. FWIW, here are the stated minimums.

Minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time
Minimum of 1,000 hours of fixed-wing turbine time
Glad they raised the minimum above 250 hours.
