Just looking at MPA's last update. Any chance anyone who reads this can post the first couple of digits of their last 4 to see how each stacks up in their given interview week? It would help see where we stand (especially because most in my week have claimed a low SSN)... Mine is 11xx

Just like McNugent said: They give you plenty of time to arrange yourself to fly to Houston for the day. Just email the lady noted with the flights that works for you and it is done. I recommend taking the first flight that you can and it will take about 2 hours or so to complete the 'scavenger hunt'.
All of the details are in the email after the welcome call. It works out very well. Fingerprinting, drug screen, and document drop off is the mission. Due pay attention to the number of required copies of your personal documents.
A nice touch was the driver was standing by for you for the ride to the sim center for the document drop off. The coordinator there also greets you by name as they are ready for you to arrive through their door.
I arrived at IAH at 11ish am, knocked out the tasks in a logical order - and then had lunch back at the terminal. The next thing you know, it is time to board. Smooth.
Now I am reviewing the latest email about the upcoming class date. It is very informative with maps, pics, and everything you need to know.
I am looking forward to getting started. Congrats to all and it will happen soon for those near the starting line!

So far UAL is awesome....super happy! I know there are some growing pains, and they acknowledge that during the first couple of days, but they know it has to be fixed and will be. Very classy operation....hang in there poolies...it will be drained by august and replaced by a new pool! 2 June classes, 4 july classes...lots of movement.

Latest Hiring update:
Hiring Update
May 2014
Due to some additional training opportunities over the summer, United plans to train most, if not all new-hire pilots in a pool awaiting class dates between now and the end of August 2014. To ensure that we have a sufficient number of new pilots in the pipeline to fill class dates in September, we will screen a limited number of pilot applicants for a couple of weeks in June. Our needs beyond September will be met through screening that is not likely to begin again until mid-August.
Basic Indoctrination classes are planned through the summer and remain available to recalled pilots who return from bypass status and pilots returning from leaves of absence before they are made available to new-hires. All category assignments for new and recalled pilots since the beginning of the year have been to the 320, 76T, and 737 based in Newark.
As always, plans are subject to change and we'll update this site with any significant modifications.
Good news for you poolies and welcome aboard.
