I know historically it has not been an option...but just throwing this out there...if there were a choice between New York and Guam, would anybody in the group go for Guam?

Since the 20th is on a weekend do you think the calls will come before or after the weekend?

I show May 20 as a Tuesday...so I would expect calls as usual 4 weeks to the day prior. They were coming on Tuesdays for a while but lately they have been coming on a Monday. But so far, always 4 weeks prior.

I do not expect to hear calls until 22 April (Tuesday) but hope they call you guys on 21 April (Monday) for the 20 May class.

Still no intel on how many on this class.

Me too! Here's hoping they take at least another 10 or so. At that rate, I might get the call two weeks from now. Fingers crossed!

I wonder how many more people in the pool have been hired elsewhere in the meantime and don't plan on going to UAL. That might speed things up a bit for us still in the pool. I know DAL has a pool and training backup as was discussed earlier, but I know AA was hiring and sending people right to class in December and January, I don't know about US.

Have a buddy who's currently in the pool & wanted to see where he sat wrt who's been set up with classes, so I asked a couple of ?s while in DEN this past week. Here's the best skinny for now, take it for what it's worth, your mileage may vary.

- Buddy interviewed week of 18 November
- May 6th class invites have gone out, filled by 25 October interview class
- Buddy has about 50-60 people ahead of him AFTER the May 6th class
- Anticipate 12ish new hires per class going forward, two classes/month

FYI, this past week had two new hires in the class, next week looks about the same. Class sizes should pick up soon. EWR is the domicile of choice going forward, 320 & 76Ts for all my friends.

There has been at least one person jump ship and go to American from the pool, but for the most part folks are staying put. We had a furlough returnee in my BI class who walked away from SWA to come back to United.

The DEN instructors & all the support staff are awesome.

I have a friend in the pool who took a job with US Air. Don't underestimate the number of folks who have left for elsewhere. While I'm sure the number isn't huge it's got to be more than 1 or 2. I'd imagine, like him, very few of them have informed UAL of this decision.
