I heard a few internal rumors about some upcoming or discussed changes to the hiring process. Any truth this this?
Example is possibly changing the 12 month "reapply" window into a 6 month reapply instead.

After SLI it is expected just a few more coming back, and all of them have time to decide until 2018. L-UAL had over 350 recalls, only 150 were interested. Statistically speaking, after SLI, we may see a 100 at best more, some of them are on MLA. Therefore we will continue classes as scheduled. This year we have over 400 retirements, some under 65, and we need to comply with full implementation of TA in October, for stuffing, and new FAR requirements moving into next year.
Before you ask, Parking of inadequate, gas hungry, L-UAL B757-200 to FedEX is covered by deliveries of B737-900. I know, personally I would prefer to have more B757, but new United it's business not a charity for pilots.

out of 1400 furloughed pilots, almost 750 are already in CAL.

About 600 sUAL pilots have accepted the sCAL offer
sUAL "officially" recalled less than 350 (342 to be exact)
After the dust settled, 104 officially accepted recall but 52 of them immediately went on MIL leave
(source for all of the above: latest sUAL Furloughed Pilot Update)
And just to make things really fun, here's how the math works for replacing 757s 1:1 with 737s
You are welcome
