Never, ever, ever, in the history of any integration, ever has W2 or current wage rate ever been used to determine an SLI. Ever. Total compensation hasn't to the best of my knowledge been used, despite the fact that the UAL side has shown that both sides were compensated within 5% of identical for every single seat, with UAL leading slightly in most seats. Got another argument? Please, please read the transcripts.

Individual W2s should be used to get a bump in seniority! We could use a new corporate slogan: Instead of " Come fly the friendly skies" we could use "W#ores on every flight, come and get lucky"

Doesn't matter anyway. Longevity is going to rule the day.

Fo real I'm sure you are aware of the commandment the end justifies the means. It applies from from the sli to the mrd. All of which is brought to you by the philosophy of CDI my bruthah.

This myth was dispelled at the hearings. Great talking points for internet forums, but the arbitrators got the see the truth, that the overall UAL compensation was more in every single seat on the UAL side than the CAL side.

It's ridiculous...
Most of the major airlines are paying about the same going forward, but they want to look at a temporary BK contract and act like we were never going to do better!
The sad part is that our BK contract was actually just as good as their regular contract when you consider the whole package.

Since you brought it up here and I am sorry that you did. First of all welcome to ual I am sure you are thrilled with the prospect of landing your dream airline job.
I am sure you will have a fine career.
That being said when I saw that Ben mentioned this fight is almost over I have to disagree"like I always do" as I think depending on how things turn out in the next month"because I only honor what I think is FAIR, doesn't matter that I agreed to a process!" or so it is far from over. I don't see any ual guys that want to mix with cal anymore."Because, if you haven't read in prior posts I love to be vindictive! And I 'm going to get as many of my UAL friends to HATE along with me!!" It is hard to imagine any real unity here and trying to fight on the same team that many feel are trying to staple many of our pilots to the bottom of the list. Those feelings don't go away overnight as much as Ben seems to think they will.
That being said I do hope that for you as a new hire you have a great career"Even with me here!" and enjoy the moment of landing that airline job. I assume you will be out of the cross fire for most of the time.
One of the bet things for you is that you are being hired at the beginning of a cycle, I would however as hoss said get here as soon as you can as it can make a huge difference for you that month or two of seniority as some folks already here are going to find out.

It nearly kills me to mostly agree with Shrek, but I do. The opinions and the wankers (including me) writing on this forum are not what you will see on the line. Mostly good folks. This forum are the bottom 10%.
Come to work ASAP and get your # ASAP, but keep putting out your resumes, at least if you would rather live somewhere else. If I were starting out and basing was not a priority, I would go to Delta.
All that being said, UAL might be the "place to be" in a few years. Who knows.
Most importantly. Ignore Staller.
Shrek is actually OK.
