Honestly, to date the only thing I am embarrassed about is saying I am a United pilot. Tough to do. I still say I am on the Continental side and even that is getting more difficult.

Maybe when we have a decent product like Continental had, I will not be embarrassed.

You didn't cave on scope? Please refresh my memory... Tell me about the Whitford(sp?) letter and the PILOT vote on scope to save the pensions... Maybe my buds over there told me the wrong story...

I am sure you don't have to say jack...probably pretty obvious with your XCON and I Love ExpressJet gear plastered all over yourself and bags. Maybe when we move on from the touted Continental management we can all move on to a good product that we all once had (albeit at different times). Good for you on experiencing a couple good years out of your former company's history. Hopefully the investors and board will get tired of failure and excuses and bring in new blood..they clearly aren't cutting it.

Best of luck waiting on the board to bring in new blood.

Why are you so focused on me? I can't believe you brought my flight bag into this that is just wrong! For the record not XCON and no aviation stickers on my bag. Mountain biking and skiing stickers totally guilty.

Our management has blown it will agree there. It's hasn't been all CAL folks though but I agree they have blown it. I had high hopes, tough to defend those bozos.

Under threat of Chapter 7 liquidation during the ERC (Economic Recovery Contract) #1. The pensions were lost during ERC #2. Just for historical perspective. The analogy was like having a shank to your throat in the prison shower. Choice A is to bend over. Choice B is to have your throat cut. I was advocate of choice C, fight to the death but that was not what happened. Just like you guys choose not to during your dark days with Lorenzo.

With that on mind and since we are delving into ancient history... Tell me that you guys didn't destroy EAL, completely trash every one of their pilot's careers, kick ALPA off the property, turn your whole pilot group into a scab work force, drop the industry bar for pay, benefits and work rules, and generally run the scurge of the airline in the industry for well over a decade. Refresh MY memory please.

If you want to compare dark history to dark history? You win. Or do we need to set a time limit on when we can talk about our dark history. Ten years ago? Twenty years ago, when does it stop and what does it accomplish?
