Tkhayes,
This type of thinking is very destructive to our pilot group. Most pilots at both LUAL and LCAL are NOT scabs, so why continue to advance this nonsense?
Especially since you now work for the "scab airline" referenced in you post, I would hope that you can testify that both pilot groups have more similarities than differences. Anyway, good luck.

You will also note that I didn't disagree with the EEO comment or get my panties in a bunch with the poster.
And yep, both sides are more similar than either side wants to admit.
Cheers

And what of the A350s and 787s ordered by UAL before this merger? Will those postions go exclusively to the UAL pilots like the guppy postions have went exclusively to CAL? Nope. Post merger deliveries are post merger deliveries. The positions should be available to both pilots groups. But the contract delay prevented that. That's why there is a snapshot date in merger policy. What was your Status and Category in 2010? Longevity in 2010? That is the question. Get ready. I believe a lot of CAL fellows are not going to like the ISL. 2013 don't mean sheet. Just remember that, and you'll be fine.

UAL scabs have not been accepted back into ALPA.
Their names are posted on the wall in ops. They are hated.
They don't wear ALPA pins and are treated like lepers.
One more note.....at the end of the 1985 strike, UAL had about 10% scabs. At the end of the 1983 strike, CAL had 100% scabs!
BIG DIFFERENCE!!
I'm not bashing all the good CAL guys, just the scabs.

Hi Boneman,
While I certainly agree that the theatrics on this board have gotten way out of hand, you do hit what is a touchy subject for us... just as I know (and understand) that the furloughed pilots from UAL are a touchy subject on your end....
I have no problem with the XJET pilots that flowed through being at the top of the seniority list IN THEIR CLASS, I have real heartburn with the suggestion that their date of hire is their XJET date of hire and NOT the date that they started at CAL. It would be like a AAA ball player getting called up to the Yankees and trying to say the he's not a rookie because he played several years on one of their farm teams. It just isn't real. That is just my perspective.

True...i agree but will add my thoughts on the strike. i can guarantee that if my generation of sUAL pilots had the choice, I sure as hell would have chose to gone on strike for a brief time and treated with dignity vice getting kicked to the extended curb every time it comes to sharing the pain. It maybe an honorable time in our associations history but when it comes to current events...I see shame. John Kerry went to war...you think he is a great and honorable warrior? Do you really think the bottom 3rd of sUALs list needs to be lectured about the 85 strike? We read history right before the silent majority crushed the junior pilots with there inaction and refusal to negotiate on our behalf.

As far as going on strike, best of luck with this group they had their pants scared off on these negotiations and after this sli comes out I would be suprised if there is any unity.
