You and Jsled should get your heads out of the sand, Just ask anyone outside of this merger what their opinions of the two pre merger carriers were. That answer will speak volumes, and the CAL merger committee is proving it once again in the rebuttals with indisputable facts.

You guys should be HAPPPY and thrilled to get straight relative seniority. It will protect your most senior guys and reflect the superior career expectations of the bottom 1/3 of the CAL list.
They will say one of the two is a scab airline, care to guess which one? That will speak volumes....just saying.

Nobody got "screwed." It is obvious that you cannot grasp the simple concept of a "flow through agreement," which was part of a contract between pilots of one organization, the IACP initially in this case, and the one company they all worked for. It is a standard company practice in this industry. American has had a similar agreement with Eagle for even longer. I did not benefit from the flow through as I was hired off the street and half of my class were Express pilots who were placed in front of me on the seniority list in our new hire training class because they were already working for the company. I accepted it and someday you will too. Either that, or you will spend the rest of your career being ****ed-off and carrying a chip on your shoulder and you will live and die a miserable old sod.

Nobody at L-CAL is looking to screw anybody at L-UAL. You have built up these unlikely theatrics in your mind and carry it around like some type of martyr. In reality, neither you nor I have any control of the situation. It will be decided by the arbitrators after listening to both sides of the argument (or in a court of law at some later date and after a lot of your Union money is spent on lawyers). Just as in the case of UAL's bankruptcy and this merger, you and the other Chicken Littles on either side are powerless to stop it.

Frats.

Tkhayes,
This type of thinking is very destructive to our pilot group. Most pilots at both LUAL and LCAL are NOT scabs, so why continue to advance this nonsense?

Especially since you now work for the "scab airline" referenced in you post, I would hope that you can testify that both pilot groups have more similarities than differences. Anyway, good luck.

Hi Boneman,

While I certainly agree that the theatrics on this board have gotten way out of hand, you do hit what is a touchy subject for us... just as I know (and understand) that the furloughed pilots from UAL are a touchy subject on your end....

I have no problem with the XJET pilots that flowed through being at the top of the seniorty list IN THEIR CLASS, I have real heartburn with the suggestion that their date of hire is their XJET date of hire and NOT the date that they started at CAL. It would be like a AAA ball player getting called up to the Yankees and trying to say the he's not a rookie because he played several years on one of their farm teams. It just isn't real. That is just my perspective.

(Nobody at L-CAL is looking to screw anybody at L-UAL. )

LOL!!!! Have you even read the transcripts for the SLI??? RJ seniority, seniority list stuffed with all sorts of BS. Pierce is leading that S-Wagon you guys fly, and because of him and the NY LEC this place will be toxic for years to come.
