No guilt - the manufactured claim goes both ways. Race relations in this country has come a long way and for you to bring it up in such a trivial way does discredit to all those that have worked so hard to stamp it out. I'll surmise that you and SoCalGuy could care less about this and jump at a chance to manufactor claims to create an invironment of mistrust of the races. If that is your intent, I'll have no part of it.
Keep digging - there is nothing there - Ask Ben Salley.

Furthermore, I have African-American relatives, so please don't preach to me about race relations in an effort to cast your derivations (or typos as you allude to) in a positive light
I'll take your rather sheepish way of indirectly calling it a typo at your word and give you the benefit of the doubt. However, you may want to thoroughly proofread what you write on a public forum. Regardless of anonymity, accountability lies with the author. You're on thin ice and have been warned.

Ok - you want to play this game! I didn't know Ben Salley was anything other than a pilot representing the IAH pilot group. He recently authored a "Blast Mail" attacking UAL furloughed working at cal.
You want to bring race into it - have at it. It's not there but you can manufactor it if you want. I'll standby by my record on this - don't dig yourself a hole -

This is not a game. Those were your words, the ones that you penned.....Nothing "manufactured" (as opposed to your coined spelling) about it.
Keep standing by your record, the one that we all love and don't respect.
BTW....The phone continues to ring....Your village is eagerly awaiting your arrival.

Nothing trivial about it..you might care to look up the word as my question was nothing of the sort. They were YOU'RE words, not mine. I gave you the chance to clarify before laying blame. You chose to play games.

If I proofread everything I wrote I'd wouldn't write so much.

Reading what you wrote, we take it as just that, what you wrote. Myself, and others, would not have to "imply" anything if only you were forthright in answering the question up front. Your own kock-eyed coy scribes, and dodging the very poignant questions, only presents unfavorable disservice to your appearance on such a board.
Food for thought compadre, maybe you should subscribe to your ^^OWN^^ words from this point forward. In a sick and twisted way, you may have just scribed your most profound sentiments thus far.
Stay cool Steven......Stay cool.

Back to the original question.
"A total of 52 previously furloughed pilots returned to active service at UAL. 1327 of our fellow pilots remain furloughed and we continue to focus our efforts on returning them to their rightful place in United cockpits as soon as possible."
What Lee said, and, an offer of employment at L-Cal is not recall at L-UAL. It is a new hire job. Eventhough many are working at Cal, they are still not recalled at L-UAL. Once SLI is complete, new hires must stop until all L-UAL pilots have been offered recall. They may still bypass. When that list is completed, new hires may resume under the combined SLI.
Yet to be determined is whether management will try to continue new hires to fill classes, while they manage the furlough list. If they do not want another fight on their hands, this should probably have been be sorted out, oh, about last Jan. As you can see, managament is once again, too late with too little.
