As a man of Germanic/Dutch/Irish/Scottish/Nordic/decent who is married to a woman of Alsace-Lorraineian/German/Irish/English/Costa Rican decent. I take grave offense at these racially motivated posts. Lets clean it up before somebody gets their wittle feel feels hurt!

Ok slick - why don't you bother to read the post and notices the cut and paste from contract. Lex and I were discussing the old United PDI and the Harvey Watt program the United guys could supplement it with back then. Lex posted the HW individual PDI to show how it differed from the current United PDI plan. Maybe you jumped off the wagon to many times Hoss -

Looks a lot like the old UAL committee - does HW act as advocate for the pilot or do they make an up/down vote in the committee decision?
The LTD Board functions as the Plan Administrator as it is self-insured benefit and is responsible for the approval process. Harvey Watt is contracted to perform the individual Case Management duties and does not have an advocacy role on the Board.

If UAL Medical is involved in the process we'll probably see delays, denials and lengthy appeals. Do you know if it's a majority vote or if one person makes the final decision.

I wouldn't worry about that as the UA Medical dep't has not structurally survived the merger process.

I believe LTD Board decisions are carried on a consensus basis, but the clearly defined objective triggering threshold for benefits makes disagreements rare.

According to the latest DNA evidence/theory, we are all African, with a lot of us having a bit of having a bit of Mongolian flavor due to a certain marauding horse riding Mongol spreading his "influence" all over Asia and Europe.

We are going to have to find a new reason to hate each other.
