Well, for those of you on the outside looking in:
As you can see from Zoomie's post, the reason UAL pilots are upset is that the crux of the CAL argument is: they believe that they are the superior equity holder in this merger and they deserve access to our equities at the expense of UAL pilots.

Remember the last 1000 posts where UAL guys say they were better because of all the Widebody A/C? Remember how CAL is just a "domestic airline" in UAL MC terms?
Or is it OK for UAL to paint a rosy picture of their future, but not OK when CAL does exactly the same? Are you just jealous that the CAL picture looks a lot brighter than the UAL picture?

Well, I would disagree with your assessment of what a "fact" is then.
Fact: DAL/NWA, UAL/CAL, and AA/USA have all merged. If that doesn't represent "paradigm shift" then we live in different worlds and different realities.
Fact: UAL made money in the 9 quarters immediately prior to the merger announcement; CAL lost money in 8 of those same 9 quarters.

We all know each side is picking the best data that will help them further their cause. But do you really think the panel is not smart enough to look at the bigger picture and see that through the 9 "Years" prior to the merger announcement UAL "Lost" 4.794 Billion, and in those same 9 "Years" CAL made money?
DAL/NWA airlines merged in 2008 and for the next 2 years CAL starts losing money even when others are making money all the way up to the quarter the merger is announced and Bingo profitability spikes once again. That's because why?

You're comparing a sports game to this? It is ethical to cheat in a sporting event? No. Is it ethical to lie (cheat) in this arbitration? No.
You are really going to support that? Unreal. Be honest. Why is that so hard?

Probe, It says your a "Guppy" driver on your profile! ( By the way, the UAL guys have the "cutest" names for planes!! CAL guys just call it a plain 73 or occasionally a "FLUF"! Do you have nicknames for other things?) If so I just was wondering if you fly on the CAL side now? And if so where are you based?

I usually just ignore your vitriol, as I'm sure you do from those that get overly aggressive on the LUAL side, but this one was so ridiculous it deserved a comment.
LUAL was within months of failing? At the date of merger, UAL's financial performance topped the industry and was heading in a rapidly upward direction after the drastic painful measures of 2008. My profit sharing check has done nothing but sink since the merger. You lose credibility when you post something so wildly baseless.
As far as basing a list on "assumptions", one of the pillars of ALPA merger policy is "career expectations". That is NOTHING but assumptions. As to whether the assumptions that LUAL and LCAL pilots put forth are believable, I leave that for the arbitrators to decide.

No one has lied here. Re-read above. You may not like the way some things were defined in the ALPA policy manual, but that doesn't change the reality of the current definitions.
Will an arbitrator agree? We'll see... but that doesn't mean that our MC shouldn't use the full extent of what is provided to them.
Nothing here is a lie or a cheat.
Again, I suggest you read the full transcripts. Perhaps then you'll be a bit more angry at your own MC.

I decided to stop getting into it on here as-
1) Neither side is going to change the other sides opinion!
B) It's really only a handful (less than 2 dozen!) that are posting.. out of 12000!
iii) There's alot of cooler things to see on the Internet. (Who knew Sasha Grey was so talented and cute!?) (Who knew you could look up old DBA recon photo's from WWII?!) {This Internet is pretty neat.. thanks Al Gore~}
Still looking forward to flying and/or meeting (almost)(LOL) every one of ya.
Always
Motch
PS> Oh, and PBS still blows! all I need off was the 2nd, and the 29th. Didn't get either one while a couple of guys below me got them off! You LUAL guys & gals are gonna love "our" PBS.
