Default UAL offer street hires classes?

Just wondering if they've called non 08 hires but no classes assigned back then? Just heard of a FO with multiple bust say UAL offered him a class with no time or TPIC.... Maybe 5000 TT? Seems odd but wondering if it's actually true?

Man... I might need another drink to make sense of this. So there was an FO that had no class assigned, has no flight time, no TPIC time, then something about 5000 total time... Or are you are saying that the FO has 5000 Total, no TPIC and was not part of the 08 hired group that had no class and has now been interviewed and offered a class at UA?

I'm asking.... A pilot at my company who left for USairways just quit Airways and got hired at UAL so he says.... Has zero TPIC, spent about 5 years at a regional right seat, and probably about 5000TT if that..... Got hired and has a class date is what we are being told... I'm wondering if anyone can actually confirm street hiring and more so street hiring of someone not hired back in 08......

I'll drink to that! In fact, I already got a head start on the whole issue! A bunch of nasty brown news occurred in my domo today. Fortunately, the ABC dispensaries in my hood have some sublime tequila on sale this week. Naturally, I decided to get my tequila sample on early this afternoon in an attempt to ameliorate my angst.

WRT the issue at hand, James thinks there are about eleven million Regional Captains looking for work at this juncture. He also thinks that anyone getting an interview with less than stellar creds AND an amplitudinous and overflowing pot of PIC time are very slim. That is of course, unless they've got something else up your sleeve (or other clothing part).

The relatively few mil dudes looking for work and the high time Regional pukes are going to account for a formidable chunk of the interviewees. At least I HOPE so.

Tequila, meet ice cubes and lime!

United starts street hiring next month. To date they have only hired furloughees, those with class dates years ago that got got cancelled, and special candidates(interns, type rating scholarship winners etc.)

I am winter 07'. There is about 110 of us from both sides UAL and CAL. Still not sure if there going to be a sim ride or not. Supposedly all type rating recipients have been interviewed. Hopefully well be in the next batch very shortly. If it means anything I was told before April.

Is the WAI conference the only place United is going to? Anybody know where else the recruiters might be talking to prospective pilots?
