A better rumor is that they are trying to decide if the sim portion will stay or just get rid of it altogether. It's 50/50 right now.

I enjoyed the sim and the CRM exercise though..... I had fun during both of them. Honestly, the whole process from start to finish was enjoyable, professional and very comfortable.

The sim only got brought it because it was there and available to use at TK. However, it slows the process down a bit and takes training for sim interviewers and thus more people to do interviews. Cheaper is to boot it but sometimes cheaper is not better (don't tell higher this, it'll mess them up).

It seems like everyone is slowly opening up the hiring and at some point, won't they all be scrambling for pilots with all the retirements?

Yup.

Combine that with the new 1500hr rule and the effect is already being felt at the bottom of the bottom feeders.

Time to raise the retirement age and "solve" that problem. Get on it politicians so Granny can be assured that she can fly and see her chilluns..until the retirement age rears its ugly head again.
