In case you have not seen it, scabs wear ALPA pins too. ALPA forgave them and their back dues.!? Slick ties have issues with ALPA and may not be scabs. I have plenty of issues with ALPA too, but it's my union.

Well, turnabout IS fairplay,
Having flown as a professional pilot for past 20 years - 5 airlines, 3 majors, 2 furloughs, 3 fighters, 6 squadrons....suffice-it-to say; some of us have LIVED the cycles of this industry vice had the luxury of merely analyzing metrics from the cheap seats.
The raises which are in the contract are certainly sustainable, and ironically, don't even achieve parity with C2000 pay rates!
Yeah, I'm ok with my assumptions...who said I planned on being an FO for 20 more years?
Cheers

1. When you were working under C2000 rates, how much did you expect to make in the period 2001-2013 ?
2. How much did you actually make?
3. What makes you think the next 12 years will play out exactly as you forecast right now?
I wish you and all of the UAL pilot group nothing but the most prosperous career possible with double-digit salary increases every 3 years. Having said so, I'm trying to point out that only because the current pay is below C2000 doesn't mean it's an absolute minimum to expect in the future. Also, only because you think wages are sustainable, doesn't make them sustainable. I can assure you that current wages are a lot less sustainable than you believe (and yes, in case you're wondering, I have worked in UAL's finance department) and NOBODY knows what the future may bring. United COULD go bankrupt again in 2 years for all we know.
I still stand by assumption that taking your past 15 years salary, averaging and discounting it to today's dollars, then growing it at long-term GDP growth will likely be the most accurate forecast.
I hope you're right, but history is not on your side.

Yes I have noticed and I have not brought up that word in case you have not noticed, I simply asked about the 15 years as cal has not been in alpa that long. I see a lot of numbers just thrown around on this site so I thought I would ask.

"Forgave" is a bit of an all encompassing word don't you think? I would think more along the lines of ALPA wanted the $$$ for their coffers and had to accept the good, bad, and the ugly that came with the collective IACP.

I have heard the alpa service pins worn at cal include the time while they crossed the picket line. Money talks.

As mentioned previously...some of us have lived it, whilst others (such as you perhaps) have stood idly by merely watching from the cheap seats
