If you're not a former intern or a furloughee, there's nothing to see.

FWIW, I got the interview email on March 4th and I also got the email today to review my app. I'd update my app if they told me too. Good luck all.

So the new drop down menu ONLY has "Continental/United Flight Operations Intern". What if you were an Intern with Flight Standards and Training? Do you check this box? Do you put it under "Other" and hope they find you?

No. You fall under the flight ops umbrella. Good luck!

When I spoke to the HR lady at the WIA conference, she said if I do volunteer work or other extra activities to put it on your application. For instance, I do Habitat for Humanity and also am in the ALPA mentor program. Where on airline apps would you guys put this? On the drop down menu on the addendum's?

Thanks. I'm was thinking direct intern with Flight Ops was what they were getting after.

Good question. I don't see anywhere that extracurricular activities, things that can set you apart from others, can be listed.

On your cover letter and the bottom of your resume. If you have letters of rec where they make mention of your activities like those, that's great too.

Cover letter and resume?
Where do these get uploaded on airlineapps?

They don't. It would be helpful to have those things on hard copies when resumes are collected at job fairs in the future. Sorry I wasn't more specific. To reiterate: letters of rec that do more than mention your flying ability are great. Those (as you know) are on airline apps. They don't always have to be people you've flown with. Character references are valuable.

Side note: approx 40% of the applications are passed over due to spelling/grammatical errors or incompletions/failure to follow directions. Proofread and then have some other people do the same!
